Conventional storage type: $35
Energy Factor must be 0.62 or better
Tankless type: $200
Energy Factor must be 0.80 or better
High-efficiency electric water heater
Conventional storage type: $35
Energy Factor must be 0.93 or better
Premium-efficiency conventional storage type: $75
Energy Factor must be 0.94 or better; minimum 20-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Solar water heating system
Receive up to $1,500 toward the installation of a gas or electric solar water heating system.
Tax Credits
Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credit: up to $340 for gas water heaters (depending on model efficiency level).
